I walk past a bush and will stop to feel the new blooms, running past a puddle, i stop for a quick jump. The old lady at the bus, sits 20 minutes early just to read her paper. The jogger takes time to re-tie his shoes just for the split extra second of relaxation.
So why rush? Can we appreciate something overlooked for the very fact that it 'is' overlooked.?
If i could help one person see the beauty in something so often looked at as negative, i would do just that- in hopes to turn a better corner tomorrow.
Why not stop and smell the roses, what do we have to lose? 10 years down the road your not going to look back and regret never sniffing the snap dragons your neighbor had, but maybe.. just maybe you'll miss the 'time' that you forget to love.
Slow down, watch the clouds, count the cracks in the sidewalk, run your hand down the fence line on your favorite walk, find- your favorite walk.
Life isn't quick paced, we are quick paced. Life was meant to enjoy, to love, to see, to feel, to enjoy, to experience. It would never expect the racey day to day activities of any of us. Why not take time to explore the life we too often decide is hectic to even be living? Why not enjoy the mistakes rather than fussing over the tedious?
A pepper in your meal isn't going to be the end of your world. Mayo on the bun isn't last weeks burdens. Forget about snapping over the small and focus on the bigger picture.
Love life- and life will love you.
Take a walk from the very last parking space, for the fun of it- just may do you some good.
