But if you find honesty within yourself once again, you'll realize you see it every. You feel it every day. That key, haunts you, every day. Burning through your fingers with a resilient desire to unlock that box. But you'll know that unlocking it could cease any joy.
You'll learn eventually to wake up without remembering. You'll fight against the thoughts without even noticing the fight. You'll conquer the fear of it returning one day. And tomorrow will feel the same as the next. Just as you hoped.
When you hold that key in your fingers on this day, the one that once upon a time condemned into hiding, the very things that were once so beautiful to you, you will remember how you felt before they needed hiding. You will remember what it felt like within that beauty. You'll let that beautiful mess float over you, and for a moment- a dreadful and glorious moment- you'll be there again.
And on that day, maybe you will decide that embracing them, is better than erasing them.
And maybe on that very same day, You will have the will to create beauty within them.
When you've ran until your out of breath, you will be caught.
But that key.... the key will show you how beauty can coincide with the pain. And one day you will willingly release the key that held the power to unlock.
This key will change your life. Forever.
Love could be found again, Life could be enjoyed, Adventure could be accepted.
The key could pull bricks from our walls, umbrellas over our sorrows, and I promise it will be a new life. A beautiful life.
I wonder when we accept the key and all it's responsibilities. When we use it for our benefit, or against us, in coercion with a new box of hiding.
I wonder if we could one day, create beauty within change, and beautiful change within our own creations, just by turning this very key whether it be used for unlocking pain, hurt, love, a road to follow, a friend to accept us- the box we've already ventured, or the box we have yet to find.
I suppose the answer lies within the key.
Within me.
Will it lock away, or unlock a way?
